Repair Liability Waiver / Customer Agreement

Repair Service Agreement

By submitting a device for repair with Console Surgeon, you agree to the following terms:

1. Data Responsibility

Customers are responsible for backing up all data before submitting their device for repair.
We are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or privacy breaches resulting from the repair process.

2. Repair Risks

Electronic repairs involve risks.
 During the repair process:

  • Existing faults may worsen

  • Additional issues may appear

  • Devices may become inoperable due to underlying faults

We will not be liable for these issues if they are caused by pre-existing damage.

3. Water-Damaged Devices

Devices with liquid damage may fail completely during repair.
By authorising repair, the customer acknowledges this risk.

4. Warranty Void

Some repairs may void manufacturer warranties.
By authorising repair, the customer accepts this possibility.

5. Unrepairable Devices

If a device is deemed beyond economical repair, a diagnostic fee may still apply.

6. Parts Used

We may use:

  • Original manufacturer parts

  • Third-party compatible parts

Quality will be equivalent unless otherwise stated.

7. Repair Warranty

Repairs may include a 90 day limited warranty covering parts and labour related to the repair.
The warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage

  • Liquid damage

  • Software issues

  • Tampering by third parties

8. Abandoned Devices

Devices not collected within 90 days may be considered abandoned.
We reserve the right to dispose of or sell such devices to recover costs.

9. Payment Terms

Payment must be made before device collection unless otherwise agreed.

10. Customer Agreement

By submitting a device for repair, the customer confirms they:

  • Are the legal owner of the device

  • Authorise the repair

  • Accept the terms in this agreement
